Twice annually, the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau publishes "About Greater Phoenix," a highly successful newspaper insert. Published in October and January, these beautiful, four-color tabloids printed on high-quality newsprint stock, feature display advertising and editorial about Arizona's outstanding amenities and activities. The inserts include a call to action: www.aboutgreaterphoenix.com.
"To reach a targeted audience in these major newspapers on your own would cost you five times more than the rate the GPCVB has negotiated on your behalf!" - Greater Phoenix CVB.
Reaching nearly 2 million potential visitors, the October/Fall Insert targets 600,000 homes with high-end zip codes in markets interested in traveling to Arizona. It is inserted in major newspapers in the following cities: Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Diego, Chicago, Seattle, and Toronto/Vancouver.
Over 1 million of the January/Cactus League Insert is distributed in Arizona's Spring Training hometown markets. This Greater Phoenix co-op marketing campaign is supported by the AOT, area CVBs and other advertising members. The TIA cited newspapers as the number one source of the "most-used" media for initial travel interest. Newspapers include Chicago Tribune & Chicago Sun Times, Denver Post, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, Los Angeles Times, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, San Diego Union-Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Seattle Times Post.
